Cabs cost about $30 to the centre of New Orleans with the usual extras but it is worth checking out the cost before you enter the cab. Limousine or sedan cars are more expensive and information is available from the desk in the baggage reclaim area (they don’t have to be reserved in advance).

There is an Airport Shuttle service to the main hotels and this costs about $15 one way and a little less than twice that for the round trip. For your return trip to the airport, your hotel reception will advise you or you can call 1-866-596-2699 for reservations or information.

There is also a Downtown-Airport Express route – E-2 – and the fare to central New Orleans is only a few dollars. A JeT/RTA one day ticket can be purchased from the Bus Operator and costs $5.
